We recently had your multi-step waterproofing system installed at our house. The work crew arrived promptly at 7:30 on March 3 to begin the work. Upon arrival the foreman went downstairs with my husband and explained the work that would be done. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the workers started; they began breaking ground shortly after arriving. Any time an issue came up the workers were quick to find us, show us the issue, and explain what would have to be done. When they found that an existing water pipe had a slow leak right below floor level they made sure we were aware and let us know it should be fixed. They also let us know about a downspout that was clogged so far down we would have to have it snaked by someone.

It was reassuring how well they seemed to work together and how quickly the whole project was finished. It made us confident that your workers have a lot of experience and know exactly what they’re doing. Our basement, stairs, and outside were cleaned and the work was finished by 1 pm, March 4th. The foreman walked us through their work in the basement and outside and explained all of the details including the curing of the concrete and how the pump will work. Today is the fourth day since your crew arrived to complete the waterproofing at our home. Upon the crew’s arrival, the foreman identified himself. He has been very willing to inform the owner of the purpose for various stages of the project. This information has been useful to the home owner. The foreman has a good relationship with his crew members and they responded by working very hard. The crew members were polite and conducted themselves appropriately.

I have been impressed with the precision of the work and the quality and craftsmanship shown on both the exterior and interior stages of the project. There was a need for special consideration be given to future sewer and concrete work. Again, the foreman foresaw the problems associated with the sewer and concrete work and managed to work around these and prepare for future contractors entering the interior to complete plumbing and pour a new basement floor. Special care was given to our plants. It is my belief they will survive because of the crew’s careful treatment of them.

When there were questions and concerns, the foreman was able to answer them in a diplomatic and professional way.

This owner had many earlier concerns about Ohio State Waterproofing. After the completion of this project, these concerns are no longer present. It is my opinion that Ohio State Waterproofing has an excellent product. I am looking forward to determine if it does what it is advertised to do. If it does not, I feel comfortable that my sizable investment in waterproofing is backed up by a transferable life time warranty.

My wife and I were planning to use our basement as a recreation and TV Room. My wife had recently refinanced the house so we thought we were on our way. The house is 50 years old and we recently had to do some major storm drain repair as they were old and backing water into our basement. First of all, thank you for being so prompt when I called in trouble on my sump pump. It was not working at all. My wife called you just after 11:00 am, and you had someone there at 12:00 pm. This day and age that is unheard of. That just shows you care about your customers. I was very impressed with the technician. Not only was he very courteous, but he did his job professionally. He changed the sump pump which is not that difficulty, but after he installed it, he ensured it worked, and doing so found a leak coming from it. This gentleman not only repaired the leak in a timely manner but cleaned up any and all the mess he made and took it with him. Day One:

Dan and the crew arrived at 7:30. I will say that Henry had told us to expect them between 8:00 and 8:30 so we were a bit surprised to see them so early. Dan introduced himself to us and explained the general schedule of events. He was very personable and willing to answer any of our questions. The area was well prepared with plastic.

We did have one surprise when the crew leader said that his order called for only 60 ft of Durashield, which is half of the basement. Our salesman, had said that the entire basement would have been covered with Durashield. The crew leader promptly called the office and straightened out the confusion to our satisfaction. The remainder of the day went well. The men worked quietly and constantly. Another team arrived to prep for the installation of the EZ Breath system. At the end of each procedure I was asked to come and see what had been done and asked if I had any questions. The crew left at 3:30 after having cleaned up the kitchen area. The crew leader let me know that they would be back at 7:30 and the job would be completed by Wednesday. All in all, day one went very well.

Day Two:

The crew arrived at 7:20. Tom and I had some questions after reading the booklet and the crew leader answered them clearly. The crew got straight to work and continued with the job. I had to leave for work at 11:45 and left the crew leader with instructions for locking up the house. Upon returning home from work I found a note from the crew leader explaining the progress on the job and that they would be finishing up tomorrow.

Day Three:

The crew arrived at 7:20 and got right to work. I am anxious to see the finished product at the end of the day. There is a lot of cleanup to do but the crew leader assured us that it would all be taken care of by the end of the work day. All has gone well and now we are looking forward to a dryer basement that will increase our usable square footage and will be a big plus if and when we decide to sell our home. The crew that came to our house did a great job. They were right on time each day. The foreman took the time to walk through everything with me the first day, including walking around the house to check for landscaping that needed to be relocated or taken special care of. They did a great job of making sure none of the flowers were damaged.

Inside the house, they covered up the carpet and floors with plastic to minimize the dirt. The encountered a problem with our plumbing (a pipe under the house turned out to have a major leak) and notified me right away so I could arrange to have a plumber come out and make the repair while the floor was opened up. They were very accommodating in working with the plumber, so that this repair could be addressed. It was also very helpful that they had an electrical contractor available to come in and do the necessary wiring for the dedicated circuit for the pump installation.

He has consistently kept me informed as to what he and the men working with him would be doing. He has consistently informed me as to what he and the men working with him would be doing. He has consistently informed me when the city of Berea has send an individual to check the work being done and invited me to participate in those conversations.

My son, Jason, out representative, has constantly been involved and informed with the progress of the project and also has been involved with the Berea representatives. The crew leader has gone out of his way to maintain an open line of communication, especially with Jason. When Jason expressed and interest in speaking directly with the city engineer, he made those arrangements and has been accommodating to all recommendations and additional work.

The individuals under his authority have proven responsible and polite, even removing their shoes as requested when using the bathroom. Although working under adverse weather conditions, 8 degrees yesterday and snowy today, they have worked dutifully and done good work. The crew leader was also amenable to completely totally cutting down a corner, oversized shrub that was obstructing the work. I especially appreciate this, and taking my trash to the curb for pickup on a cold morning.

He had properly removed all materials and supplies brought on the property and made arrangements to return in April to grade areas worked on. I personally inspected the property and found it satisfactory.

They started our experience with Ohio State Waterproofing on the right path by arriving at our home on time. This was a positive ‘first impression’.

The crew leader is an extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable employee. He satisfactorily answered all my prepared questions as well as those that came up during his preview of what they were to do.

He reviewed, in detail, all the items checked by the salesman in the agreement, making sure that I understood everything and that nothing was being omitted or forgotten.

The crew did their best to keep everything as clean as possible by covering the hallway floor, basement steps and items in the basement with plastic. This was greatly appreciated. Precaution was taken not to damage bushes and shrubs outside while excavating.

After the job was completed, everything inside and outside was thoroughly cleaned and restored to our satisfaction. All construction materials were recovered and hauled away.

On the first day, minor damage was done to the very soft lawn and sprinkling heads along the driveway as the truck tried to maneuver around the side of the garage. This damage was quickly repaired to our satisfaction.

We are completely satisfied with the men, the work and the results of this project. The only thing left is to enjoy a dry basement from now on. A coworker who had his basement done by Ohio State told me that we would be pleased with the results. The crew leader and his crew did not let us down.

When I contacted them about my slab home seeping water in my living area, a salesman was sent out immediately. He walked us around our home, pointed out all my water problems and immediately told me that he believed to be our problem. Per the request of the work foreman, I am writing this note to document my observation of crew performance. I have no complaints and was impressed overall.

The work began on the day promised and on time (before 7:30 am).

Upon arrival, the crew chief introduced himself and requested a tour of the work site.

The crew immediately went to work and worked steadily until the work was completed, ahead of schedule.

The crew chief maintained excellent control of the work crew and all facets of the project. For example, he made sure that I ordered topsoil so that it would be delivered in time for the crew to assist in placement.

The crew chief periodically requested that I observe the work in progress so that I was aware of the progress and methods used.

The crew chief and all crew members were pleasant and went out of their way to make sure that any of my concerns were addressed and all questions answered. For example, I noticed a large tree root exposed under the topsoil where it would interfere with grass and I went to get a saw. When a member of the work crew noticed that I was about to saw off the root, he said that he had a saw and would take care of it.

I was very pleased with the manner in which this work was performed and the pleasantness of the crew. The work appears to be of sufficient quality, but only time will tell if the original problem has been properly addressed. The original problem is the wicking of water through cinder blocks from outside to inside the garage.

So many times, a customer is quick to write a company when something is wrong but is remiss to send a letter when the company does an outstanding job. We just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how pleased we are with Ohio State Waterproofing for the job they did for us.

It is such a pleasure when someone tells you that they will do a job on a date, and they actually show up on that date. The coordinator for the job showed up before the project was to begin just to make sure everything was in order. Then on the actually start date, when we arrived at our office, the crew had already been working for a couple of hours.

The foreman and his crew were very professional, polite, neat and hard working. They covered up the carpeting and taped the plastic down so it did not move. When they dug up around the foundation they put all the dirt in five gallon containers and then dumped it in a truck. Consequently, there wasn’t dirt all over the front of our property. Each night before they left, the front of our building was left in an orderly fashion. After the job was completed, everything was swept up and left neat.

The foreman did the cement work for our stoop, and he made sure he reinforced the side walls with the top. In addition, we put in steel posts in front of the stoop so no trucks or snow plows will be able to get close to it. They seemed to have genuine concern to do everything possible to insure that we did not have a problem in the future.

It is so nice to look at a basement that isn’t wet and the walls are not leaning in. Again, thank you.
