Day One:
Dan and the crew arrived at 7:30. I will say that Henry had told us to expect them between 8:00 and 8:30 so we were a bit surprised to see them so early. Dan introduced himself to us and explained the general schedule of events. He was very personable and willing to answer any of our questions. The area was well prepared with plastic.
We did have one surprise when the crew leader said that his order called for only 60 ft of Durashield, which is half of the basement. Our salesman, had said that the entire basement would have been covered with Durashield. The crew leader promptly called the office and straightened out the confusion to our satisfaction. The remainder of the day went well. The men worked quietly and constantly. Another team arrived to prep for the installation of the EZ Breath system. At the end of each procedure I was asked to come and see what had been done and asked if I had any questions. The crew left at 3:30 after having cleaned up the kitchen area. The crew leader let me know that they would be back at 7:30 and the job would be completed by Wednesday. All in all, day one went very well.
Day Two:
The crew arrived at 7:20. Tom and I had some questions after reading the booklet and the crew leader answered them clearly. The crew got straight to work and continued with the job. I had to leave for work at 11:45 and left the crew leader with instructions for locking up the house. Upon returning home from work I found a note from the crew leader explaining the progress on the job and that they would be finishing up tomorrow.
Day Three:
The crew arrived at 7:20 and got right to work. I am anxious to see the finished product at the end of the day. There is a lot of cleanup to do but the crew leader assured us that it would all be taken care of by the end of the work day. All has gone well and now we are looking forward to a dryer basement that will increase our usable square footage and will be a big plus if and when we decide to sell our home.
